So I have identified an area that I want to look at, what is useful feedback to my pupils in PE. Can I possibly use elements from other subjects to ensure I am making this meaningful... not just a paper task. My latest feedback use, was developed from the idea of Public Critique, an idea developed from Project Based Learning that made pupils aware that they are producing multiple drafts of work to work towards an excellent idea. I have adapted this in two different ways to see what is the most effective, this could alter depending on topic and lesson... The first sheet is for Year 7 Gymnastics top set. I gave them a success criteria of which their feedback needed to base itself on. This task didn't include any feedback from me but having had a look through their feedback I can see that it is useful. These pupils have looked at the criteria and identified areas of improvement. This next example uses a success criteria but has adopted a tick box to try and allow pupils to clearly identify areas of success and areas that are not completed. I will be asking what pupils thought of using these sheets and how they have helped them (if at all) structure their feedback and improve their work. This is just one option available and can be easily modified to add teacher feedback.
